Online consultation for brides-to-be, special designs for the races, such as Ascot or the Spring racing carnival, mother of the bride and for any other opportunities you may need a custom hat design for.
Designs generally cost on average between £300 and £500, depending on style, your requirements and the materials used.
When you order, please leave the following information at the checkout:
Occasion: Where you will be wearing your hat and for what occasion?
Your information: It helps to have an image of you and other details such as your height, hair styling etc. Maggie will take this into consideration when designing.
Fabrics / Embellishments: Do you like silk, felt, lace, velour, pearls, jewels, tweed, veiling, feathers, flowers etc.
Designs: An indication of specific designs from our collections you like already, in relation to shape, style etc.
WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH THE CONSULTATION?
The fee is non-refundable once paid. However, 50% of the design fee will be deducted from the order total if the consultation leads to a custom order.
For the fee listed, you will receive an attachment containing up to five design ideas with descriptions, prices and sketches.
You must allow up to seven working days to receive your design ideas, Maggie will need to consider all your choices and style before creating your designs, this creative process is best not rushed. Every design Maggie creates is based on your personal style factors but also has to embody the Maggie Mowbray Millinery design ethos and aesthetic.
Original designs can be changed slightly once design ideas have been sent for consideration.
Once you agree to continue with the design and have paid for it to be specially made, it will take a further 4 - 6 weeks for completion.

Any designs and sketches resulting from the consultation remain the copyright of Maggie Mowbray Millinery® and may not be used to commission other designers to create the designs.
The majority of our hats are made to order, which takes 4 - 6 weeks, occasionally we have ready to wear items, these will be found in our Ready to Wear section when available.

If you require a colour not shown, please get in touch we offer a colour matching dye service on some fabrics.
The majority of our designs are custom handmade to order by Maggie once you place your order, therefore our Made to Order items are exempt from returns.
Maggie is always happy to advise customers regarding style suitability, colour matching and measuring prior to placing an order.
